Audi Radio Code
Audi radio code by serial number. Covers the Chorus, Concert and Symphony head units, the RNS-E and RNS-D navigation systems and MMI, fitted across the A1, A2, A3, A4, A6, TT, Q-range and more.
How to find your Audi serial number
Follow these steps to locate your serial, then enter it above.
Chorus / Concert: remove the radio
Insert the four radio release keys into the corner holes of the fascia and apply gentle outward pressure. The unit slides forward. You do not need to disconnect any wires. The serial is on the label on the back or top of the casing.
Symphony: remove the radio
Insert the four release keys into the corner holes and slide the unit forward. The serial is on the label on the back of the casing, for example AUZ1Z4H7755256.
RNS-E: read it from the screen
No removal needed. Power the unit on and read the serial along the bottom edge of the display. The sixth character is always 7, for example AUZBZ7H7145296.
What your Audi serial looks like
14 characters starting with AUZ. Check the capital I against the number 1 carefully.
How to enter the code
Switch the radio on until SAFE then 1000 shows. Use preset buttons 1 to 4 to set each digit (button 1 sets the first digit and so on). When the full code shows, press and hold the two seek arrows (or TP and RDS on older units) together for about two seconds until the radio unlocks.
