How to find your VW Touran serial number
Follow these steps to locate your serial, then enter it above.
Remove your radio
Remove the surrounding trim and slide the unit out of the dashboard. Depending on your model you need a flat-head screwdriver, a prying tool, or radio release keys in the corner slots. You do not need to disconnect any wires.
Find the serial on the label
The serial is on a sticker on the side or rear of the casing. It starts with VWZ and is 14 characters long, for example VWZ1Z2H1234567. On Bosch units it is often also stamped into the metal casing.
Know your unit
The two characters after VWZ identify the radio: VWZ1Z is an RCD 300 or 310, VWZ4Z an RCD 500 or 510 (often Delphi), and VWZ6Z, VWZ7Z or VWZGZ an RNS navigation unit.
